Software QA Tester (Level II) - Hybrid Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Software QA Tester (Level II) remote to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role based in Albany, NY, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. As a Software QA Tester (Level II) remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

What You'll Do

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Develop and execute automated test frameworks and test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
• Produce and maintain all testing artifacts such as test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Log and manage defects using defined processes, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support sprint reviews/demos, exploratory testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Assist with Performance, Security, and other non-functional testing.
• Provide accurate estimates, maintain schedules, and meet iteration deadlines.
• Report progress, risks, issues, and mitigations to management.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience as a Tester (Level II) in a Quality Assurance role.
• Proven experience managing testing across multiple high-profile, complex projects.
• Strong analytical capabilities and automated testing experience.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Katalon Studio.
• Proficiency in using Jira, Xray Test Management, or similar tools.
• Scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or related languages for automated test script development.
• Experience creating test metric dashboards and reports using Jira or comparable tools.
• Experience working on Child Support application projects is highly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading functional test planning and execution.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently.
