Social Media Manager - Remote Position at BitMEX

About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team at BitMEX, a leading exchange for crypto derivatives. In this remote position, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and expanding our social media presence across various platforms. As a Social Media Manager, you will play a crucial role in aligning our social media strategies with broader marketing campaigns and developing standalone social campaigns to enhance user engagement.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage large social media campaigns to fuel the growth of existing social media channels.
• Create innovative ideas and concepts for fresh social media content.
• Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging platforms.
• Coordinate social media management to align with large projects, events, and community management.
• Collaborate with the design team to create multimedia visual briefs that support social media content and communications.
• Analyze and report the success of social media projects using monitoring tools to track community engagement, content performance, and other KPIs.
• Work with marketing team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy.
• Act as the first point of contact in our social media communities, supporting and responding to members while monitoring social listening on a daily basis.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or coordination.
• Exposure to established social media management tools and technologies.
• Experience with listening and monitoring platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).
• Knowledge of social media KPIs and best practices (e.g., X, TikTok).
• Knowledge and interest in the cryptocurrency space and its community.
• Well organized with the ability to work well with internal stakeholders and deliver on time.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to find the right tone of voice for different audiences.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
