Server - Restaurant Role

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Server to join our team at Shrimp Basket. This Server role is essential for providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring a smooth operation in our restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for selling and serving food and drinks in a professional manner, contributing to our goal of exceeding customer expectations.

What You'll Do

• Take orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food items, ensuring compliance with age regulations.
• Prepare and serve drinks and food to three to five tables, maintaining a high standard of service.
• Utilize a computer-based POS system to ring in orders and manage payments.
• Interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including side-work tasks such as setting up and breaking down tables and bar areas.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by treating all guests with respect and attentiveness.
• Complete necessary training, including ServSafe Food Handler and Responsible Vendor training.
• Report to work on time in a neat and clean uniform, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state regulations.
• Basic mathematical, reading, and writing skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Positive attitude and ability to work varied hours/days, including holidays.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
