Senior Workforce Software Engineer - Remote
About the Role
VARITE is seeking a Senior Workforce Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative solutions in workforce management. You will leverage your extensive experience to enhance our clients' operational efficiency through advanced scheduling and workforce software interfaces.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical direction for the design, development, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation as a Senior Workforce Software Engineer.
- Ensure system, technical, and product architecture complies with operational, architectural, and design standards.
- Review proposals for technology systems and implement effective solutions to recognized deficiencies.
- Apply significant knowledge of industry trends to improve service delivery for stakeholders.
- Manage technical risks throughout various projects and provide production support.
- Create and enable technical plans, revising them as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation actions to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Act as a liaison between vendors and project portfolios, keeping team members informed of status.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in Advanced scheduler, Configuration, and Workforce software interfaces.
- Mandatory certifications: CT104 (Building New Configuration) and Workforce Time Interfaces certification.
- Strong technical and functional knowledge of Workforce Management software.
- Proficient in Workforce software configuration, integration, application development, and maintenance.
- Experience in SDLC environments and familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce integration with Workforce is a plus.

- Experience in a mid to large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on technical knowledge in application development and support.
- Experience working as a strategic liaison/technology consultant.
