About the Role

We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to join Struction, a company dedicated to transforming the construction industry through innovative technology. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our cutting-edge platform, making complex construction data accessible and intuitive for our users. What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design of Struction’s product experience, from early concept through shipped pixels.
  • Design interfaces that simplify complex construction data, ensuring they are human-centric and intuitive.
  • Develop and maintain a coherent design system that scales as we expand our product offerings.
  • Conduct user research to understand customer workflows, pain points, and mental models.
  • Translate cutting-edge AI capabilities into clear user experiences, helping users understand system interactions.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers to ensure high-fidelity designs are implemented accurately.
  • Provide fully-functioning mockups and prototypes to assist engineers in their development process.
  • Shape product direction alongside founders and engineering, ensuring design has a seat at the table.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with at least 2 years as the primary designer on a product.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and coherent product experiences.
  • Experience designing for data-dense, workflow-heavy applications.
  • Familiarity with AI-native products and the UX challenges they present.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for 3D, spatial, or document-centric applications.
  • Ability to build interactive prototypes in code (React, Framer, etc.).
  • Experience managing projects using tools like Linear, Notion, or Google Docs.
