Senior System Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our team at meteoblue. This remote Senior System Engineer position offers you the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain robust system architectures that align with our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical and business needs.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure system architectures.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, integrations, and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application-layer and infrastructure issues.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance.
• Collaborate effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid understanding of traditional on-premises infrastructure.
• Advanced Linux administration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers.
• Proficiency in development or scripting (Python, Bash, ...).
• Knowledge of system and application security best practices.
