Senior Software Engineer - Security Focus for AI Innovation

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on security to join our remote team at Cohere. In this Senior Software Engineer remote position, you'll be at the forefront of AI innovation and enterprise security, contributing to our mission to scale intelligence to serve humanity.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship security features for North, our AI workspace platform.
• Develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data.
• Write and ship minimal code that operates in low-resource environments with stringent deployment mechanisms.
• Integrate new tools to enhance North's security capabilities.
• Perform application security testing to ensure resilience against real-world threats.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on developing user-facing security features.
• Proficient in Python with a track record of shipping production code.
• Solid understanding of security principles such as session management and multi-factor authentication.
• Strong coding abilities across the stack, capable of troubleshooting issues beyond the main codebase.
• A flexible and constructive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with application security testing tools.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and methodologies.
