About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend/React) remote to join our innovative team at Ivans, a division of Applied Systems. This role is pivotal in driving innovation across the insurance ecosystem, where digital connectivity is crucial. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, diversity, and a customer-centric approach.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement software using object-oriented principles and design patterns.
  • Create user-focused interactions through effective front-end architecture.
  • Develop and implement RESTful services and APIs.
  • Review peer code for readability and efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile stand-ups with local and remote team members.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs (REST and SOAP).
  • Ensure the stack is built for security, speed, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, and React.
  • Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of the React library.
  • Experience interacting with backend services.
  • Proficiency in microservice architecture and event-driven programming.
  • Familiarity with Git and continuous integration best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Kanban is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python/Django.
  • Familiarity with Elastic Search.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
