About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - DevOps - Java (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Enterprise Mobility. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our technology stack and driving the efficiency of our operations. This position allows you to work fully remote within the United States, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal life while contributing to our innovative projects.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize your expertise in DevOps to evaluate and improve technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, and research.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to design, develop, and modify our technology stack.
  • Lead the implementation of solutions and tools that support DevOps initiatives.
  • Work with API solution development teams in a large-scale environment, focusing on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Build and implement new development tools and infrastructure in alignment with architectural direction.
  • Automate and continuously improve development and operational processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production environment issues promptly to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on Java technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud automation, particularly with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS).
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Groovy, or Shell.
  • Strong knowledge of Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Understanding of reusable and clean code practices.
