About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Dataplane QE (Remote) to join our innovative team at Netskope. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of cloud security by developing high-quality, high-performance software solutions. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to our mission of redefining Cloud, Network, and Data Security.

What You'll Do

  • Understand product and feature requirements, review designs, and write comprehensive test plans that align with customer use cases.
  • Own features end-to-end, from testing and automation to regression runs and customer issue resolution.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, system, performance, and scale tests.
  • Create distributed complex test setups across cloud platforms and hypervisors based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure timely feature delivery.

Requirements

  • B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech degree from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on quality engineering.
  • Strong expertise in L2/L3 networking concepts, routing protocols, VPN, IPSec, and WAN architecture.
  • Proficient in Python programming for automation-driven testing.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment in public clouds.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on transparency and collaboration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in designing test frameworks.
  • Familiarity with front-end web UI automation tools like Selenium or Cypress.
  • Experience with traffic generator tools such as Spirent and Ixia.
  • Understanding of web programming and HTTP-based APIs (REST or GraphQL).
