Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Video Management System

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Flock Safety, focusing on our Cloud Video Management System. This Senior Software Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of enhancing community safety through innovative technology. You will be part of a high-performance team dedicated to building low-latency live video capabilities that empower our customers to respond to incidents effectively.

What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance our custom-built Video Management Software, ensuring it meets the needs of our users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement APIs that facilitate seamless integration.
• Utilize your expertise in React and TypeScript to create responsive and performant user interfaces.
• Implement cloud solutions using AWS services, including Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, and Docker.
• Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions to drive product improvements.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack engineering.
• Proficiency in React or other JavaScript frameworks, along with TypeScript for web services.
• Experience with AWS and cloud tooling, particularly Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience in video technology or related fields.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
