Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote Blockchain Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Stellar Development Foundation. This remote position offers you the chance to work on cutting-edge blockchain technology, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.

What You'll Do

• Maintain, improve, scale, and secure our AWS/GCP infrastructure and Linux systems.
• Assist development teams in running, packaging, deploying, and troubleshooting applications.
• Streamline deployment processes using Jenkins and other CI/CD tools.
• Build, maintain, monitor, and improve our Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate with teams on migrating applications to Kubernetes.
• Monitor, triage, and respond to alerts in high availability environments.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best-in-class services.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud-based systems operations as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
• Proficient in configuration management and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of computer networking, load balancing, and distributed computing.
• Experience managing production workloads and using monitoring tools effectively.
• Comfortable with on-call rotations and conducting root cause analyses.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Production experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of Go, Rust, C++, and TypeScript.
• Experience with AI-driven approaches to operations.
