Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team remotely at RightShip. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications, contributing to our mission of enhancing maritime safety and sustainability.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and input to all aspects of quality assurance, applying industry best practices.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures, including regression tests.
• Utilize various testing techniques such as White box, Grey Box, and Black box testing.
• Troubleshoot and investigate defects in software applications, reporting them using Jira.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and developers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support end users during User Acceptance Testing phases.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support sprint planning as needed.
• Drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Proficient in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Good understanding of API testing tools like Postman.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and develop Scrum facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as a Scrum Master.
• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of maritime industry standards.
