Senior QA Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our team at Low Carbon Contracts Company. This Senior QA Engineer remote position offers you the opportunity to lead quality assurance initiatives within our Scrum team, ensuring the reliability and resilience of our systems. You will play a crucial role in driving strong testing practices and act as the primary voice of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies, plans, and cases based on project requirements and user stories.
• Execute test cases and document results thoroughly, ensuring high-quality test coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
• Work with the Principal QA Engineer to establish and improve the test automation framework.
• Identify, report, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and regression testing.
• Conduct performance and load testing to assess system responsiveness and stability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans and reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience in test planning, case design, and execution.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into workflows.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor QA Engineers.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience in security testing methodologies.
• Understanding of accessibility testing standards.
