About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team at onX. This Senior Product Designer remote position will focus on integrating AI into our product ecosystem, shaping how users interact with our technology. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing user experiences through innovative design.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design efforts in AI-enabled problem spaces, shaping interaction models and defining experience boundaries.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, usable experiences for customers.
  • Work iteratively to prioritize learning while considering long-term design implications.
  • Conduct research, including interviews and usability testing, to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to clarify trade-offs and responsible AI usage.
  • Elevate AI fluency within the design organization by demonstrating practical uses of AI tools.

Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience designing complex digital products.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted or algorithmically driven experiences.
  • Strong interaction design skills with a focus on map-based or spatially complex experiences.
  • Ability to explain AI constraints and their impact on design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and aligning cross-functional partners.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience establishing UX patterns or frameworks.
  • Practical perspective on trustworthy AI-powered experiences.
  • Experience designing systems with user control and reliability considerations.
