About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Privacy and Product Legal Counsel - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our legal strategies, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and providing legal counsel on product development. As a Senior Privacy and Product Legal Counsel, you will work remotely, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert legal advice on privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure compliance during the product development lifecycle.
  • Draft and review legal documentation related to privacy and product matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with data privacy.
  • Engage in contract negotiations with clients and partners to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging privacy laws and regulations to inform company policies.
  • Support the development of AI governance frameworks to ensure ethical data use.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal compliance and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal counsel, preferably in privacy and product law.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.
  • Experience in SaaS and B2B environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal documentation and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with technical aspects of data privacy, including analytics and risk management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AI governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of health technology regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
