About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Orthopedic Medical Coder to join our growing team at GeBBS Healthcare Solutions. As a Senior Orthopedic Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring coding accuracy and compliance, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

What You'll Do

• Review provider-submitted coding in EPIC against clinical documentation.
• Resolve EPIC edits and recommend coding corrections to departments.
• Address clearinghouse rejections and claim edits effectively.
• Analyze documentation and recommend coding updates to resolve issues.
• Provide coding guidance and feedback to orthopedic providers and departments.
• Collaborate with a highly specialized team to enhance coding practices.
• Ensure high-quality standards in coding accuracy and compliance.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of active, ongoing orthopedic coding experience.
• Current CPC (AAPC) or equivalent certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
• Extensive experience coding orthopedic services in POS 11, 21, and 22.
• Strong knowledge of billing edits, clearinghouse edits, and payer denials.
• Comfortable providing coding feedback and education to providers.

Nice to Have

• Experience coding in-office procedures and orthopedic surgeries.
• Familiarity with various coding software and tools.
