About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Architect (React Native & Supabase) remote to join our innovative team at Together North. This part-time contract role allows you to contribute to the development of a community-focused mobile application while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. As a Senior Mobile Architect, you will play a crucial role in building a clean, secure, and scalable app from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Review React Native code and pull requests, providing clear, actionable feedback.
  • Evaluate architecture and data modeling decisions before they reach production.
  • Review authentication flows, database schemas, and Row Level Security (RLS) policies.
  • Identify performance, scalability, and maintainability risks early.
  • Discuss with Management why solutions are recommended, not just what to change.
  • Implement outstanding features in our React Native code-base.
  • Fix Android and iOS build issues and runtime errors.
  • Improve code quality, structure, and maintainability.
  • Attend virtual meetings when required.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5 years of professional mobile development experience.
  • Proven experience shipping React Native apps to both iOS and Android.
  • Strong understanding of state management, navigation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience reviewing code-bases.
  • Strong experience using Supabase in multiple environments (ex: Prod/Dev).
  • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience designing and auditing Row Level Security (RLS) policies.
  • Experience with secure authentication flows.

Nice to Have

  • Experience mentoring developers through thoughtful code reviews.
  • Familiarity with environment separation (dev/staging/prod).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Familiarity with Apple Sign-In requirements and app review guidelines.
