About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Engineering to join our dynamic team at SRS Acquiom. This fully remote position allows you to lead and manage engineers on a dedicated, cross-functional Agile delivery team. As a Senior Manager of Product Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping our product development strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of two products and product delivery teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with teammates to establish complete, succinct, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Partner with the Product Owner/Manager to align Product and Engineering efforts.
- Accountable for hiring Engineers on the product delivery teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Contribute effectively to the code base across the full stack and lead by example.
- Coach team members to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of business value.
- Align the Engineer’s career goals with the company's objectives, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Evaluate team performance and provide direct feedback to enhance individual and team potential.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in Engineering practices, staying current with industry trends.
- Strive to drive a positive user experience and solve complex problems effectively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack Software Engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience as an engineering manager; 5+ years preferred.
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively.
- Eagerness to collaborate with the engineering management team.
- Experience designing robust and scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing.
- Experience with modern cloud-native development tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Knative).
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
- Expertise with version control systems and distributed architecture.
- Experience in web-based application development.
