About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Product Engineering to join our dynamic team at SRS Acquiom. This fully remote position allows you to lead and manage engineers on a dedicated, cross-functional Agile delivery team. As a Senior Manager of Product Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping our product development strategy and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of two products and product delivery teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with teammates to establish complete, succinct, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with the Product Owner/Manager to align Product and Engineering efforts.
  • Accountable for hiring Engineers on the product delivery teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Contribute effectively to the code base across the full stack and lead by example.
  • Coach team members to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of business value.
  • Align the Engineer’s career goals with the company's objectives, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide direct feedback to enhance individual and team potential.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in Engineering practices, staying current with industry trends.
  • Strive to drive a positive user experience and solve complex problems effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack Software Engineer.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an engineering manager; 5+ years preferred.
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively.
  • Eagerness to collaborate with the engineering management team.
  • Experience designing robust and scalable solutions.
  • Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing.
  • Experience with modern cloud-native development tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Knative).
  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Expertise with version control systems and distributed architecture.
  • Experience in web-based application development.
