About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior In-House Web Designer to join Capital Business Media (CBM) in a fully remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to shape the design and user experience of over 20 live and upcoming websites. As a Senior In-House Web Designer remote, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital presence and ensuring our sites are optimized for performance and SEO.

What You'll Do

  • Design and maintain responsive, brand-led websites across multiple titles.
  • Improve user experience (UX), Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and engagement metrics.
  • Implement SEO-aligned design decisions, focusing on structure, internal linking, and templates.
  • Manage front-end development within WordPress-based environments.
  • Create reusable design systems and UI components.
  • Support new site launches and platform migrations.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating modern web design and UX thinking.
  • Solid front-end capability in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience designing at scale across multiple websites.
  • Clear understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and accessibility.
  • Confident stakeholder communication and prioritization skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
