Senior Game Designer - Remote Position

About the Role

Join Octo Games as a Senior Game Designer and immerse yourself in the exciting world of game development. This remote position offers you the chance to shape engaging gameplay experiences while working on adult-themed games for PC. As a Senior Game Designer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality game levels and mechanics that captivate players.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop core gameplay mechanics that enhance player engagement.
• Create and balance game levels, ensuring a smooth difficulty progression.
• Review and approve levels designed by other team members, providing constructive feedback.
• Analyze gameplay data and A/B test results to refine level performance.
• Collaborate with the narrative designer to integrate story elements into gameplay effectively.
• Work closely with the UI artist and 3D team to maintain visual consistency.
• Document design processes and maintain an internal knowledge base.
• Communicate design intent clearly to developers and oversee the implementation of your ideas.

Requirements

• Experience in creating game concepts with adult mechanics/content.
• Strong understanding of game design principles and user-friendly interface design.
• Basic knowledge of Unity is a plus.
• Proficiency in Russian and/or Ukrainian, both spoken and written.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Proactive attitude with a desire to suggest ideas and take ownership of features.
• Curiosity and critical thinking skills to improve game design.
• Team player mindset, comfortable collaborating with diverse roles.
