What You'll Do

• Lead projects: You will plan and own design system and accessibility initiatives across product teams.
• Discover opportunities: Interview frontend engineers and designers to identify gaps in the design system and accessibility workflow.
• Work autonomously: Shape open-ended platform problems into actionable plans and deliver improvements.
• Get and stay in sync: Maintain alignment with engineering and design partners on components and standards.
• Author technical documents: Produce clear documentation for components, guidelines, and accessibility workflows.
• Set direction: Influence technical decisions and evolve the design system.
• Support and mentor: Help engineers adopt consistent patterns and improve accessibility.
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration: Partner closely with Design, Product, and Technologists to align specifications and standards.
• Evolve the system: Apply system thinking to refine components and workflows as the product grows.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Familiarity with the frontend ecosystem and practical experience applying accessibility standards.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems.
• Proven track record of delivering cross-team initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• High level of personal organization skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Lit or similar web component technologies.
• Familiarity with monorepos and cross-team workflows.
• Understanding of automated accessibility tooling and CI integrations.
