Senior Frontend Engineer - Remote Opportunity in E-commerce

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Kaufland e-commerce. This Senior Frontend Engineer remote position allows you the flexibility to work from anywhere in Germany or from one of our offices located in Cologne, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or our co-working space in Berlin. As a part of our Tech & Product Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience on our rapidly growing online marketplace.

What You'll Do

• Proactively develop the Kaufland Marketplace and internal services as a Senior Frontend Engineer remote.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI experts to design and implement solutions that deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
• Continuously optimize and maintain existing frontend applications focusing on performance, speed, usability, and interactivity.
• Contribute innovative suggestions and solutions to the development process.
• Work on highly scalable and performant SSR Vue 3 frontends serving high-traffic pages.
• Lead by example and improve your colleagues’ know-how, methodology, and quality.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Frontend or Full-Stack Engineer.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Vue.js, or other common frameworks.
• Familiarity with backend application development in Node.js, PHP, or similar languages.
• Knowledgeable about testing, debugging, monitoring, and deployment techniques for web applications.
• Experience building responsive web applications and using different API paradigms.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (C1).

Nice to Have

• Experience with A/B testing and running efficient experiments.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure concepts.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
