Senior Financial Controller - Remote Opportunity at Bitso

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller remote to join our diverse team at Bitso. You will play a crucial role in accounting and financial reporting, working closely with our financial planning and analysis function.

What You'll Do

• Lead the monthly closing process, coordinating the activity plan.
• Run quality reconciliations of accounts between ERP and reporting systems.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and provide analysis of financial results.
• Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management.
• Support managers with in-depth analysis and executive dashboard reporting.
• Engage in ad-hoc reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a similar or progressive leadership role.
• Proven background in accounting or finance controllership.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with business intelligence tools.
• Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders as a business partner.
• Strong project management and planning skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Mexican regulatory environment, particularly with IFPEs.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
• Experience working in a remote-first environment.
