Senior Engineer - Developer Platform (Remote)

About the Role

ScienceLogic is seeking a Senior Engineer - Developer Platform to enhance our developer platform and tools. This remote engineer role focuses on creating and maintaining a modern developer platform, leveraging Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud computing to empower our developers to build innovative software systems. You will play a crucial role in owning and improving the CI/CD test automation pipeline to boost developer productivity, reduce cycle time, and enhance delivery performance.

What You'll Do

• Develop tools and infrastructure for our development platform, including container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation workflows.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalability of our automated testing pipeline.
• Drive developer productivity improvements by reducing build and test times, enhancing feedback loops, and increasing pipeline signal-to-noise.
• Develop our internal Kubernetes platform that supports developer workflows, including hosting developer environments and central tooling.
• Coordinate with developer teams to understand their requirements and workflows.
• Enforce best practices in container development, CI/CD pipelines, and software engineering.
• Collaborate with an experienced team, contributing to discussions around technology choices, implementation, and architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps roles.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and cloud computing.
• Experience with test automation and improving developer workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
