Senior DevOps Engineer - Automation & CI/​CD Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Senior DevOps Engineer remote to join our innovative team at TOPIC Embedded Systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our development processes through automation, CI/CD, and cutting-edge tooling. You will enable development teams to work efficiently by delivering stable, scalable, and automated build and deployment environments.

What You'll Do

• Boost our development process through smart automation and modern tooling.
• Support development teams with stable, scalable CI/CD environments.
• Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design scalable and efficient DevOps solutions.
• Manage containerized applications and microservices using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Write and maintain robust Python code for test automation and scripting.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure clarity and maintainability.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and other engineers to resolve integration and deployment challenges.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of work experience as a Software Engineer in high-tech or embedded systems environments.
• At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps & Automation Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Python, and proficiency in C++ and/or C#.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Puppet.
• Proactive, strategic, and solution-driven mindset.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with access and identity management systems (RBAC and IAM).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• A good command of English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
