Senior Developer Advocate - Blockchain & AI Focus

About the Role

Join us as a Senior Developer Advocate at Stellar Development Foundation, where you will work remotely on cutting-edge blockchain technology. This role is pivotal in creating equitable access to the global financial system. Since 2014, our mission-driven team has fueled the growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high scale today. As a Senior Developer Advocate, you will leverage the launch of smart contracts on Stellar to increase developer participation and bootstrap the ecosystem of tools, protocols, dapps, and educational resources necessary for Stellar's success.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute engaging strategies for in-person activations that attract and inspire the next generation of developers to experiment and build with Stellar.
• Give keynotes, lead workshops, provide hands-on mentorship sessions, and represent SDF at conferences, hackathons, and builder events around the world.
• Create tutorials, videos, code samples, and interactive content to help developers understand what’s possible with Stellar and empower community members and global ambassadors.
• Review technical documentation, pull requests, and ecosystem contributions with a sharp editorial and engineering eye, maintaining high standards and encouraging best practices.
• Actively seek out builders in other ecosystems, including those excited about blockchain and AI, and bring them into the Stellar developer community.
• Drive participation in developer-facing programs such as the Stellar Ambassador Program and the Stellar Community Fund.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a developer advocate in web3 with a strong background in engineering.
• Experience using AI as part of your development workflow, understanding how it enhances productivity and creativity.
• Experience writing technical documentation, developer guides, or educational content.
• Familiarity with smart contract platforms (Wasm- or EVM-based) and an ability to understand subtle platform differences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with an eagerness to share knowledge.
• A portfolio that highlights your best web3 DevRel work or an active social media presence demonstrating your leadership in the industry.
• A playbook of web3 DevRel ideas that you can bring to the Stellar ecosystem.
• A passion for building, tinkering, and helping others bring their ideas to life.

Nice to Have

• You’ve written and deployed smart contracts across multiple chains, including Stellar.
• Experience building full-stack applications using JavaScript and React.
• Familiarity with Rust or a willingness to deepen your knowledge.
• Experience with open-source blockchain ecosystems.
• Knowledge of blockchain analytics and developer onboarding funnels.

• Competitive pay with a base salary range of $125,000 - $175,000.
