Senior Database Administrator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our DBA team. This Senior Database Administrator remote role will be critical in managing and optimizing our production databases powered by MongoDB, Postgres, and SQL Server. Your expertise will ensure the performance, reliability, and security of our database systems, making a significant impact on our operations.

What You'll Do

• Act as the focal point for all MongoDB-related issues within B2Tech, including reviewing configuration or setup changes.
• Maintain and support MongoDB databases in both Atlas and on-premises environments.
• Support SQL Server and Postgres databases in both on-premises and AWS.
• Monitor system health and performance to minimize database downtime and manage high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR).
• Plan for long-term scalability and architecture improvements.
• Implement changes, apply patches, and manage version updates as required.
• Participate in the DBA on-call cycle to ensure continuous database availability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a MongoDB DBA (both infrastructure and application).
• 2+ years of experience as a relational Database DBA (infrastructure and application).
• 1+ years of experience in AWS.
• Advanced T-SQL database development experience.
• Knowledge of Git and code management processes.
• Excellent understanding of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity.
• Experience with tools such as dbatools, RedGate SQL Toolbelt, and Coralogix.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience with cloud database solutions.
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
