Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Ozon Bank. In this Senior Data Scientist remote position, you will develop and maintain machine learning models for consumer credit, contributing to innovative financial solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain ML models for consumer credit applications.
• Enhance and support an internal framework for model development.
• Generate and apply new features in models based on emerging data sources.
• Participate in task definition, identifying priority areas for modeling, and communicate transparently about progress.
• Develop and maintain services for production model calculations.
• Analyze model performance in production, organizing and refining monitoring processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit scoring.
• Proficient in data handling, including analysis, cleaning, preparation, selection, and feature creation, with strong SQL query skills.
• Solid understanding of probability theory, mathematical statistics, and machine learning methods, including knowledge of typical pipelines for building scoring models.
• Experience with data analysis packages.
• General understanding of model validation and monitoring techniques.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
