About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist (Geospatial AI) to join our innovative team at Nabat. This Senior Data Scientist remote position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of ecological sciences, AI, and robotics, contributing to vital climate change solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop analytical and predictive models for Nabat’s AI-powered ecosystem management platform using advanced AI/ML techniques.
• Research and deploy models that extract scientific insights from complex geospatial data sets, including satellite and drone imagery.
• Collaborate with software and data engineers to design scalable systems for processing large geospatial datasets.
• Communicate effectively across teams, ensuring alignment with product managers, ecologists, and data analysts.
• Lead the research and development roadmap for your domain, becoming the subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering, data science, mathematics, or ecological sciences.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML model development in geospatial contexts.
• Proficiency in tools such as Python, R, PyTorch, and GIS software.
• Experience deploying models to cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Strong communication skills and a builder mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in remote sensing or precision agriculture.
• Published research in peer-reviewed journals.
