Senior Data Engineer - Finance Technology (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer - Finance Technology (Remote) to join our dynamic team at Crypto.com. In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various ventures projects that are adjacent to our core businesses. You will be actively involved in the design of various components behind scalable applications, from frontend UI to backend infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the finance sector.

What You'll Do

• Design and build a universal data platform capable of supporting both real-time and batch computing and storage needs.
• Define and implement data pipeline architectures tailored to specific business scenarios, leveraging diverse infrastructures and delivery methods.
• Continuously enhance the data platform to improve data asset stability, flexibility, and resource efficiency.
• Build and maintain a data transformation pipeline for Finance teams at Crypto.com.
• Deliver tailored data products, designed to empower users with self-serve capabilities and ensure accurate answers to their data queries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on data development experience.
• Proficient in Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Airflow, and other mainstream data platform technologies.
• Strong understanding of their underlying principles and proven experience in performance optimization.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, computation, and storage architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, strong logical thinking, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience/knowledge in the accounting domain is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
