About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will develop and maintain enterprise-grade Business Intelligence solutions that empower GMG's diverse retail portfolio. Your expertise will transform complex, multi-source retail data into actionable insights that drive business performance and customer-centric decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Develop interactive BI dashboards in Power BI leveraging AI to enhance execution.
- Customize visualizations to align with business KPIs, usability standards, and analysis goals.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple data sources.
- Create Natural Language Processing (NLP) features such as NLG-based summaries and chatbot-style interfaces.
- Maintain system health, manage user access, and ensure performance tuning for BI platforms.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to uphold data privacy and integrity standards.
- Engage with business leaders to understand strategic needs and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Document data models and business rules in Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
Requirements
- 7 to 8 years of overall work experience with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Power BI implementation, preferably in the retail domain.
- Hands-on expertise in implementing BI dashboards through AI.
- Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Expertise in NLP/NLG integration and embedding ML models.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities are essential.
- Any AI or BI certification would be preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and Databricks.
- Familiarity with UI/UX best practices in dashboard design.
