About the Role

We are hiring a Senior AI Research Engineer to join Axelera AI, a pioneering company in the AI landscape. This Senior AI Research Engineer role focuses on developing multimodal AI models that integrate various data modalities, such as text, vision, and audio. As a Senior AI Research Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform's capabilities for Generative AI.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and optimize multimodal AI models for real-time, high-efficiency inference across diverse deployment environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers and hardware engineers, to integrate AI models into our platform.
• Focus on optimizing models for memory efficiency, low-latency inference, and high throughput.
• Stay updated with the latest research in multimodal AI, proposing and implementing innovative techniques.
• Implement best practices for model testing, deployment, and continuous improvement to ensure effective scaling in production.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying multimodal models, including text, image, and audio data.
• Strong background in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Proficiency in natural language processing (NLP), computer vision (CV), and speech processing techniques.
• Experience with model optimization techniques like quantization, pruning, and distillation.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and high-performance computing platforms.

Nice to Have

• PhD or advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience deploying models on edge devices or in-memory computing systems.
• Familiarity with model deployment frameworks such as TensorRT or ONNX.
