Senior Accountant - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Remote to join our dynamic team at Sandstone Care. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and US GAAP to drive our accounting processes. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial management and compliance within our organization.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with audit support and compliance activities, including SOX compliance.
• Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting processes.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Experience in the healthcare or behavioral health industry.
• Familiarity with Polish Accounting ACT.
