Sales Engineer - PVD Coating Solutions (Remote)
About the Role
We're hiring a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Oerlikon, focusing on PVD coating solutions. As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in finding and approaching new customers while maintaining existing business relationships. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing technical support and consultation to local, international, Japanese, and Korean clients.
What You'll Do
- Identify and approach new customers to expand the business portfolio.
- Maintain and develop existing customer relationships through effective communication and technical support.
- Utilize CRM software to collect and report on customer, market potential, and competitor information.
- Prepare quotations and provide technical support throughout the sales process, including sample testing and negotiation.
- Collaborate with other departments for technical, quality, and logistical contract negotiations.
- Register and follow up on customer complaints, coordinating with teams to implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Participate in customer promotional events, meetings, seminars, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role, ideally within the advanced materials or coating industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of PVD coating processes and products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse clients.
- Experience with CRM software for reporting and customer management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or semiconductor industries.
- Knowledge of Japanese or Korean languages.
