Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Linguist - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Linguist to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will translate and review content for a leading music streaming company, ensuring that the original meaning is conveyed effectively to the target audience. As a Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Linguist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience through accurate and engaging translations.

What You'll Do

• Translate content from English into Romanian, focusing on marketing and product materials.
• Review and ensure readability and understanding for the target audience.
• Utilize CAT tools, specifically Smartling, to enhance translation efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team members to convey transcreation rationale.
• Follow specific instructions to maintain consistency and quality across all content.
• Engage in creative writing and technical writing to produce high-quality translations.
• Work independently with an estimated workload of 15 hours per week.
• Participate in discussions regarding terminology and translation strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in translation and review, particularly in marketing and product content.
• Degree in linguistics or equivalent experience is required.
• Proficient in both English and Romanian, with native fluency in Romanian.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of technical and creative writing is a plus.
• Well-versed in translation and terminology tools.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and provide effective communication of transcreation rationale.
• Strong understanding of UI concepts and creative writing principles.
