Remote Staff Software Engineer - Distributed Simulation

About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Staff Software Engineer to join Anduril Industries and lead our Distributed Simulation efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for building a new distributed simulation product that enables heterogeneous groups of robots to collaborate across multiple physical sites. What You'll Do

• Lead the development of a distributed simulation product, ensuring seamless collaboration among robots.
• Utilize your expertise to design solutions that address latency issues between clients and servers.
• Implement GPU-intensive computations effectively to enhance simulation performance.
• Manage the registration of new robots within the network and ensure software updates are deployed without compromising availability.
• Monitor simulation states for post-exercise debugging and reporting, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Engage in all stages of the product life cycle, from initial scoping of user requirements to the architecture and implementation of solutions.

Requirements

• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Strong background in software engineering, particularly in distributed systems.
• Experience with AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to simulation and distributed systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience in the defense technology sector.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and 3D simulation technologies.
