About the Role
We're hiring a Remote Senior Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team at Alpaca. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales process and expanding our enterprise partner base across the APAC region. Your expertise in our products and services will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of democratizing financial services globally.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the product and technical subject matter expert, capable of thoroughly understanding and articulating all aspects of the Alpaca platform to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Act as a regional market-specific expert in regulations, compliance, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Comfortably engage with senior leaders and C-level executives to discuss technical solutions and product offerings.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams, providing essential technical advisory and product expertise throughout the client lifecycle.
- Present compelling product and technical use cases to prospective clients, building trust and confidence in Alpaca's technical capabilities.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, simple solutions that meet client needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably in the financial technology or investment sectors.
- Strong understanding of APIs and brokerage services.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Experience in the APAC market is highly desirable.

- Experience with open-source contributions and community engagement.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
- Technical background in software development or engineering.
