About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Senior Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team at ClickHouse. This role is pivotal as you will be designing, developing, and securing our ClickHouse Cloud database platform, ensuring it meets the rigorous standards required by government and enterprise clients.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop a highly available, scalable, and secure ClickHouse Cloud platform for regulated and mission-critical environments.
  • Architect solutions that enable high-performance and secure database operations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Dataplane, ClickHouse Core, and Infrastructure to ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, and Protected B.
  • Implement best practices for securing sensitive workloads and ensuring resilience in environments with restricted or no internet connectivity.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on security and compliance.
  • Proficiency in designing and deploying cloud solutions, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Experience with database technologies and architectures, particularly those relevant to real-time analytics and data warehousing.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ClickHouse or similar database technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
