Remote Security Architect - Robotics & Software Security

About the Role

As a Remote Security Architect, you will lead all aspects of Software Security for Dexterity’s Robotics Product Lines. This is a highly visible and hands-on role that requires you to write and review code, audit policies, and collaborate with auditors, prospects, and customers to demonstrate compliance with security policies. You will also be responsible for keeping our Security Guidelines, Incident Plan, and other policy documents updated with the latest industry best practices.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and implementation of security policies and procedures for our robotics software.
• Collaborate with a talented team of Software and DevOps Engineers to ensure effective communication and enforcement of security policies.
• Analyze requirements and mentor software developers on secure coding practices.
• Demonstrate compliance with ISO27001 and SOC2 standards, leveraging your previous experience in achieving these certifications.
• Utilize strong knowledge of modern DevOps/SecOps tooling and industry trends to enhance security measures.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding security practices and policies.
• Review and write code in C++ and Python to ensure security standards are met.
• Keep abreast of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Background in InfoSec, software supply chain security, and secure coding practices.
• Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to achieving ISO27001 and SOC2 compliance.
• Strong internal and external communication skills with attention to detail.
• Solid experience in C++ and Python programming languages.
• Familiarity with Git and modern CI pipelines.
• Experience working with auditors and customer InfoSec/IT teams.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Network Security.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
• Previous startup experience.
