Remote Regional Director of Public Sector Sales - DOW

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Remote Regional Director of Public Sector Sales to join our team at Chainguard. In this role, you will leverage your strong knowledge of the US Department of War (DOW) to build relationships with key decision-makers and promote Secure Software Supply Chains. As a founding member of the Public Sector team, you will establish a significant presence within Federal customer accounts, including the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Space Force. This is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about creating deep, mutually beneficial partnerships that drive customer value and growth.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute go-to-market (GTM) sales engagements within US Government programs.
  • Establish and engage our Channel Reseller program across all Public Sector territories.
  • Refine and execute our GTM strategy for Cloud Marketplaces and Hyperscaler Alliance Teams for DOW.
  • Drive the adoption of Chainguard Products to new customers within assigned territories and accounts.
  • Evangelize the value proposition and ROI to prospects and leads.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor within the partner community to effect change.
  • Champion our offerings with key stakeholders to drive a project’s future state.
  • Collaborate with internal business functions to ensure an exceptional partner experience.
  • Leverage community, build partner ecosystems, and develop partner marketing strategies to drive significant growth.
  • Forecast accurately to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Manage business and track opportunities in Salesforce and other supporting tools.

Requirements

  • Must be US-based and a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of Sales Management experience in the Public Sector is required.
  • Competitive, driven, and results-oriented while being a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cybersecurity products and services.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
