About the Role
We are seeking a Remote Junior Live Ops Game Designer to join our dynamic team at A Thinking Ape. As a Junior Live Ops Game Designer, you will play a crucial role in bringing live events and content to life in our popular mobile game, Party in my Dorm. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about free-to-play games and eager to learn how live-service games operate on a daily basis.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Senior Designers, Product, Creative, Engineering, QA, and Community teams to create and execute engaging core content for our players.
- Assist in the ideation and implementation of live events, ensuring they resonate with our dedicated player community.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of live features, from initial concept through to release and ongoing iteration.
- Utilize metrics-driven insights and community feedback to enhance game features and player experiences.
- Engage in hands-on mentorship from experienced Live Ops Designers to build your skills and gradually take on more ownership of projects.
Requirements
- Passion for free-to-play mobile games and an understanding of live-service game mechanics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of game design principles and player engagement strategies.
