About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Enterprise Account Executive to join our dynamic team at MariaDB. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving sales and expanding our customer base across various segments. As a Remote Enterprise Account Executive, you'll engage with clients throughout their journey with MariaDB, ensuring they receive the best solutions tailored to their needs.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the right customer solutions and close business with both existing and new customers.
  • Work effectively in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain an accurate, robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities.
  • Understand the technical requirements and certifications specific to each prospect or customer.
  • Manage and accelerate the sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.
  • Set a strategic sales plan for your territories in alignment with MariaDB's strategic direction.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management regarding quarterly strategies.
  • Follow up with leads in your territory within company SLAs, utilizing relevant messaging via phone, email, and social media.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to various company and customer locations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in database/data management, DBaaS, or cloud sales.
  • Proven ability to manage large enterprise opportunities while closing transactional business.
  • Sales acumen to run complex sales cycles effectively.
  • Experience in selling enterprise cloud database solutions is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a proactive, optimistic spirit.
  • Experience with prospecting and opportunity development using tools like Salesloft, Salesforce.com, and Zoominfo.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

  • Background in selling open-source software solutions.
  • Ability to champion inside key accounts.
