Remote DevOps Engineer - Blockchain Infrastructure
About the Role
We are looking for a Remote DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team at InfStones. As a Remote DevOps Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our blockchain infrastructure. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain DevOps processes and practices.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and maintain cloud environments using your expertise in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, security, and observability.
- Architect, deploy, and manage cloud platforms like AWS and Linux-based systems.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across all environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance using observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support as needed across multiple teams and time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 5 years in DevOps, Software Development, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and Linux-based systems.
- Expertise in deployment and management of Kubernetes, especially EKS.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Experience with security best practices in a DevOps environment.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across multiple time zones.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Previous experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology.
