About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team at DCG. As a Remote Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement and awareness for our Federal Law Enforcement client. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to meaningful outreach initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance engagement across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with client teams to refine communication strategies tailored to diverse audiences.
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
• Engage with news media, advocacy organizations, and the general public to foster positive relationships.
• Utilize mixed methods research and Human-Centered Design principles to inform communication strategies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in communications or social media management, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to navigate sensitive topics with professionalism and care.
• Experience working with diverse audiences, including government and non-profit sectors.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with digital research methods and change management principles.
• Experience in public diplomacy or advocacy communications.
• Knowledge of mental health and veteran support issues.
