Remote Assistant Controller - Finance Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Assistant Controller to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting our multi-entity environments. As a Remote Assistant Controller, you will collaborate with various departments to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee account reconciliations and internal audits to maintain financial integrity.
• Manage fixed assets and lease accounting processes effectively.
• Lead a team in financial management and KPI measurement to drive performance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate the audit process.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize Sage Intacct and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Support onboarding and employee relations within the finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage Intacct and Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with internal controls and audit processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the HVAC industry or service-based businesses.
• Familiarity with Service Titan or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
