About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Remote Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. What You'll Do

• Develop and implement security measures throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize tools such as OWASP, Burp Suite, and various security testing frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security best practices.
• Engage in threat modeling and risk assessment activities.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
• Assist in the development of security training programs for staff.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in application security or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, C/C++, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent.
• Experience with container security and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of API security and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
