React Native Team Lead - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a React Native Team Lead to join our fully remote team at AUTO1 Group. In this role, you will leverage your strong English communication skills and hands-on mindset to lead our mobile engineering team in enhancing our React Native app for both iOS and Android platforms.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow the React Native team by setting clear expectations, supporting individual development, and mentoring through code reviews and pairing.
• Own mobile domains end-to-end, including architecture, solution design, development, QA, shipping, monitoring, and long-term maintenance.
• Design, build, and maintain features in our React Native app, ensuring correctness, scalability, and an exceptional user experience.
• Drive technical direction and architecture, leading discussions and making decisions that ensure long-term maintainability, performance, and reliability.
• Continuously improve app quality through performance tuning and pragmatic improvements, focusing on speed, stability, and UX.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver business value and contribute to hiring and onboarding strong mobile engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of React Native expertise with JavaScript/TypeScript and 3+ years of experience building and shipping production React Native apps for iOS and Android.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, accountable for team performance and delivery outcomes.
• Strong fundamentals in mobile best practices, including navigation, animations, performance optimization, stability, and runtime debugging.
• Hands-on experience with state management (Redux/Zustand) and server state/data fetching (React Query / Apollo GraphQL).
• Experience with production builds, rollout strategies, monitoring, hotfixes, and incident handling.
• Ability to evolve mobile architecture with pragmatic trade-offs, strong English communication skills, and a proactive, coaching-oriented mindset.
