Quality Inspector - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team remotely. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading company in the manufacturing sector, Mersen UK Teesside Ltd, known for its excellence in the design and manufacture of Graphite Cubic Block Heat Exchangers.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Recommend adjustments to assembly and production processes based on inspection findings.
- Inspect, test, and measure materials and products using various tools including callipers, gauges, and micrometres.
- Accept or reject finished items based on quality standards.
- Remove non-compliant products and provide recommendations for best practices.
- Discuss inspection results with relevant stakeholders and report on inspections and test data as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in turning/milling processes.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and GD+T specifications.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- GCSE level education (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
- Level 3 qualification in an Engineering field.
- A proactive attitude towards personal development and training.

- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality audit processes.
- Knowledge of compliance standards in manufacturing.
