Quality Inspector - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team remotely. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading company in the manufacturing sector, Mersen UK Teesside Ltd, known for its excellence in the design and manufacture of Graphite Cubic Block Heat Exchangers.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Recommend adjustments to assembly and production processes based on inspection findings.
• Inspect, test, and measure materials and products using various tools including callipers, gauges, and micrometres.
• Accept or reject finished items based on quality standards.
• Remove non-compliant products and provide recommendations for best practices.
• Discuss inspection results with relevant stakeholders and report on inspections and test data as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in turning/milling processes.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and GD+T specifications.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• GCSE level education (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
• Level 3 qualification in an Engineering field.
• A proactive attitude towards personal development and training.

Nice to Have

• Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality audit processes.
• Knowledge of compliance standards in manufacturing.
