Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist - Remote

About the Role

We're hiring a Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join our remote team at AECOM. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting high-impact transportation projects across the globe. As a Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist, you'll leverage your expertise to guide critical path decisions and ensure the successful delivery of essential infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Support complex transportation projects in cities like Houston and New York City.
• Lead the development and analysis of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
• Guide critical path decisions and support delay analysis to keep projects on track.
• Work hands-on with Oracle Primavera P6 to manage project schedules effectively.
• Mentor junior scheduling staff, fostering their growth and development.
• Review and develop construction schedules for highways, bridges, and railways.
• Analyze schedule data and report on project issues to stakeholders.
• Assist in tracking corrective actions and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling review meetings to align team efforts.
• Update scheduling management reports to reflect project status and progress.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 software.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Experience with construction methods for highways, bridges, and rails.

Nice to Have

• Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent).
• Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with other scheduling software tools.
